Swami Vivekananda
Swami Vivekananda gave a great many public lectures, wrote books and even poetry. If you’d like to learn more about this saint who so inspired Guruji, as Shri Anandi Ma tells us in her Guru Purnima talk, there are many sources for you to discover. The Dhyanyoga Centers bookstore carries, Raja Yoga, the book that Guruji read and re-read many times.
There are also many online resources; a favorite is http://swamivivekananda.jnanajyoti.com/ where you’ll find his lectures and poetry easily accessible. Also, the website, http://thinkexist.com/quotes/swami_vivekananda, is filled with quotes by Swamiji. Your own search will uncover many more sites.
There are a series of short quotes by Swami Vivekenanda on our new Quotes page, which has its own tab in the navigation bar up top. There you will find quotes from other saints that Ma has asked us to include as well, particularly Sri Ramakrishna and Sri Anandimayi Ma.
If you are already a student of Vivekananda’s teachings and have a favorite website or book to recommend, please let us know in the comment box below.
