Supporting Ma’s Work: An Important Message About 2011

Dear brothers and sisters,

By now most of us have become aware that after working non-stop for over thirty years, Anandi Ma and Bapuji have decided to take some time to rejuvenate so that they can continue to work for many more years to come. Most shaktipat masters, including Guruji himself, would work for 3 to 4 years maximum and then go into seclusion for many months to recharge. Finally, Ma and Bapuji also have the opportunity to do the same, starting in 2011.

As that time approaches, many members of the DYC family have been asking how they can help.  The members of the DYC board of directors would like to take this opportunity to address this issue.

As you can imagine, Ma and Bapuji’s physical unavailability is going to present challenges for all of us. How will we continue to support Guruji’s work without the constant guidance and inspiration we all receive from their physical presence?

This issue has been discussed in Ma and Bapuji’s presence.

First and foremost, they have requested that all of us continue to participate in as many DYC events as possible, such as the group meditations, bija mantra meditation and retreats. Even if Ma and Bapuji are not physically present, the Guru’s subtle energy is definitely there and will benefit us all.

Secondly, they have appealed to all of us to work together harmoniously for the greater good. Any of us involved in doing any kind of seva know how difficult that can be. Despite our best intentions, our egos can get in the way and become a hurdle in our path to progress and success, especially in a group endeavor. This is our chance to show them how much of Guruji’s teachings we have really understood and assimilated.

Thirdly, they would like to see more people share in expanding Guruji’s work. DYC is in need of people who can contribute their talents and energy to help complete many ongoing projects intended to help as many people as possible to reach their spiritual goal. If you would like to know how you might be able to help, please contact Kajal at the DYC Center in Antioch.

Finally, the board, along with Ma and Bapuji, are all quite concerned about the effect that Ma and Bapuji’s temporary absence could have on DYC’s financial health. The fixed operating cost for the center in Antioch is over $20,000 a month. So far, by God and Guru’s grace, and the loving support of many disciples, even in these very tough economic times DYC has been able to meet its financial obligations. We hope that those disciples who have supported the Guru’s work with their generous contributions will continue to do so. We also hope that at this critical juncture more disciples will consider lending their support so that the Guru’s work of bringing spiritual enlightenment to as many people as possible can continue smoothly, without interruption. Guruji used to say that while there are many causes worthy of our support, none is greater than that which helps the soul overcome its spiritual hunger and attain liberation.

So, if we think about it deeply, Ma and Bapuji’s time off to recharge, presents all of us with a golden opportunity for personal growth. Let us come together and work in a way that makes Guruji proud and also makes Ma and Bapuji feel that the 30 years they spent working non-stop for our welfare were well spent!

Ma and Bapuji –many thanks for all of the unceasing blessings and work you have been doing in the name of enlightenment and for Dyanyogiji and the Divine. No words can explain or express the unceasing effort you are making for the sake of humanity.

Please do take this time to recharge and rejuvenate. We will all pray and hope that this only draws us all closer to the Divine and to appreciate the silent guru behind the scenes, so that we depend more on the inner Shakti.

Please accept my heartfelt gratitude. We are all going through different karmas after kundalini awakening. Please know that our hearts are with you even though I cannot see you all that often.

    love and light.
