Over 100 years ago, Dhyanyogi walked barefoot across India seeking enlightenment. Without money or possessions, he braved hunger, the extremes of desert heat to Himalayan snows, and came face-to-face with tigers and deadly cobras.

But for those of us living ordinary lives in the 21st century, the greatest obstacles on the spiritual path are often our own mental and emotional reactions to the daily challenge of being a human being. These are our tigers and cobras.

SPIRITUALITY AND PSYCHOLOGY is a new dvd which was filmed at the workshop in Antioch, California.
In it we learn:
  • How the mind and soul interact according to ancient yogic wisdom combined with modern insights from psychology and neuroscience.
  • The true nature of the mind and how its limited perceptions keep us unhappy and unsuccessful.
Shri Anandi Ma teaches, “Be the master, never the slave, of the mind.”
Using the techniques from this workshop, you can take control and master your life.  With practice:
  • You can break negative mental patterns of low self-esteem.
  • You can deliberately establish positive habits.
  • By working with your mind under the guidance of your soul, you can enjoy success in every area of your life.
Shri Anandi Ma is the spiritual heir of Shri Dhyanyogi and head of a lineage of Kundalini Maha Yoga. She offers her teachings and shaktipat initiation in the U.S., Europe, and India, with centers in Antioch, CA and Nikora, India.
Dileepji, one of Shri Dhyanyogi’s closest disciples, works side by side with Shri Anandi Ma teaching meditation and offering shaktipat initiation.
Ellen Balis, Ed.D. has been a licensed psychologist and student of Shri Anandi Ma for 25 years.
You may now order this DVD online at the DYC bookstore.

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern at Holos Institute in San Francisco who is constantly exploring the intersection between spirituality and psychology. In 2008, I participated in the first World Congress on Spirituality and Psychology in Delhi.

    Thanks again,
