We are very happy to announce that the Woodbury Yoga Center in Woodbury, Connecticut has graciously offered Muktidham, the center’s meditation hall, as the site of a murti of our beloved Guruji. Many of Shri Anandi Ma’s programs have been held in this space over the years so the space is already filled with the Guru’s energy.

The word ‘murti’ is a Sanskrit term, which translates literally as ‘embodiment.’ So it is more than a statue, really. When we sit before Guruji’s murti, we can strongly feel His presence and this often results in a deeper meditation. As one CT disciple expressed:

In January of this year, I had the opportunity to spend a few weeks in the Nikora ashram where I attended the daily morning and evening meditation programs in the temple where Guruji’s murti resides. From the day I arrived, every one of my meditations was much deeper than usual. It was such a surprise to me that I could sit so easily whenever I was there. Then this past Sunday, I sat before the murti in Muktidham and had the same experience. What a blessing it is to have the murti right here at home on the East coast.
Jai Gurudev!
Prerna

A group of local disciples transported the very heavy murti into Muktidham on a pallet where it will stay until a more permanent seat can be built and made ready for Shri Anandi Ma’s arrival next summer. Meanwhile, regular Sunday and Bij Mantra meditation programs will be held as usual. So if you are from the area or are visiting, plan to come and meditate with the group.
