A Chaitra Navratri Blessing from Ma and Bapuji

3 April 2011 One Comment Print article Print article

Dear Ones,

Sita Rama.

We were not quite able to start our sabbatical in February as we had planned. We begin now as April starts. While travelling here in India we have the unique experience of running into some level of spirituality at almost every corner. We had a chance to visit the ashram of the saint Shri Ranchoddasji Maharaj and some of his golden words were painted on the ashram walls. Of course, they were all very inspiring but this one touched our hearts the most:

GIVE UP 100 WORKS AND EAT YOUR MEAL,

GIVE UP 1000 WORKS AND KEEP THE BODY PURE,

GIVE UP 10,000 WORKS AND PERFORM SEVA,

BUT GIVE UP 100,000 WORKS TO DO JAPA.

We can hear Guruji’s voice adding to this, GIVE UP A MILLION WORKS AND MEDITATE.

For Navratri be sure to do japa and meditate. For those attending the Vajra Panjar Applied Retreat the Rama Raksha stotram should be dominant. However, if possible try to do 11-21 malas of the Guru (Ram) mantra as well. Others should do as many Rama mantras as possible.

May Lord Rama lead you to Himself and accept and embrace you with great smiles, a tight hug and exquisite JOY.

Love & Blessings,

Ma and Bapuji
