Full Moon / Guru Purnima
Begins at 12:15 a.m. PDT; ends at 11:40 p.m. PDT

On the full moon, it is said that there are 16 types of energies radiated through the moon. These 16 energies are concentrated through the 16 petals of the vishuddha chakra of the teacher, and these are transferred to the disciples. The different energies have different names. They are said to hold the subtle aspects of divine nectar for the upliftment of mankind. So, on this specific day of Guru Purnima, the 16 colors or energies of the moon are radiating in full force. And through the vishuddha chakra of the Guru, they are again intensified and poured forth for disciples with love, faith, and devotion.   — Shri Anandi Ma

Practices done on this day will bring growth and auspiciousness in the life of the disciple.
